VALSAVARENCHE-INTROD-VILLENEUVE

Valsavarenche-Introd-Villeneuve Intercommunal Aqueduct

Our company has partly built the Valsavarenche-Introd-Villeneuve intercommunal aqueduct and still manages it.

This aqueduct is developed by the Municipality of Valsavarenche and currently feeds the Municipalities of Introd, Villeneuve and St-Pierre.

It is hoped that in the future, thanks to water availability, it will also serve the municipalities of the valley floor (Aymavilles, Jovençan, Saar, Gressan and Aosta).

The aqueduct includes about 25 km of pipelines, 16 remote-controlled tanks and a total user catchment of about 5,500 inhabitants with an average consumption of 1,000,000 m3/year.

Along the aqueduct, 5 hydroelectric plants have been built (Pont, Pont du Grand Clapey, Pro Arny, Fenille and Bioley, already described above) owned by the investee company Meyes Srl, which produce about 4,000,000 kWh/year
